Aaron Hale is a 14 year veteran of both the Navy and Army. He deployed once to Iraq and it was on his second mission to Afghanistan where his career as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Team Leader ended. An Improvised Explosive Device (IED), something that has claimed many lives during the war, exploded in front of Aaron, severely wounding him and taking his eyesight.
Aaron never accepted defeat and is always looking for new challenges. While he awaited military retirement, he began teaching at the EOD School in Niceville, Florida, finished his degree in Business Administration, started running marathons, kayaking and climbing some big mountains.
In August 2015, Aaron lost his hearing due to a sudden case of bacterial meningitis. The illness caused Aaron to go completely deaf but it still hasn’t stopped him. Aaron continues to train for marathons and other adventures. He still speaks across the country to raise awareness for veteran’s organizations, wounded veterans, his fudge business, and to help motivate others on their journey through life.
Aaron Hale is an adventurer, athlete, combat wounded veteran, and inspirational speaker that will challenge audiences to reach beyond their perceived barriers, harness the power built through adversity, and reach any goal by developing the right frame of mind.
Expanding upon his various experiences, Aaron conveys a message of positive mental outlook and determination in the face of all life's obstacles. After hearing Aaron's presentation, you will walk away with a newfound pride in your country, life, and yourself.
